Michael was born in Long Beach. At the age of 10, Michael moved to Orange County where he learned how to play the saxophone. From that point on, he knew that playing the saxophone is his life long passion. Mike went to Marina High School in Huntington Beach. He now spends his free time practicing, writing lyrics, skateboarding, surfing, body surfing, sailing, or drawing.

       Daniel was born in Lima, Peru. At the age of 2, he and his family moved to California. On his 11th birthday he recieved his first guitar (Acoustic). Later he graduated from Fountain Valley High School class of 2008. He is now enrolled at OCC. His favorite foods are Peruvian and Itallian.  Daniel loves to Surf and Skateboard. He also enjoys Drawing, Ping Pong and Bodysurfing. Daniel frequently goes to Peru to visit family and to experience a lifestyle different from that in America. He's most happy around good food and family, peaceful sounds, the Ocean and most of all; being in Peru.

      With the addition of Mike Belk (SAX) The Originalites were created in December of 2009. Since then The Originalites stay active and healthy by participating in many activities such as Surfing, Skateboarding, Body surfing and Soccer. A regular day for The Originalites is eating a good breakfast before going surfing or skating. Daniel and Mike also meet up in this time before practice to exercise their vocals and secure harmonies. After exercising their bodies they must also exercise their instruments together (very important) by practicing! So they set up their equipment "In the Oven" and practice for as long as time permits or however long it takes them to run through all their songs. When practice is over they are usually done for the day. Except for when they have a show or if they must go places to book shows and/or promote the band.
